I recall the first time I learned my craft. I was about 9 years old and my mentor was 12. She would have class in her mom's back yard. We would all sit together in a green patch of grass. Our teacher taught us how to braid by weaving the grass.
I recall the excitement I felt deep in my soul while weaving the grass. Not only did it keep me engaged but it enticed my spirit. Because this was soulfully and spiritually fulfilling my craft was easy to me. I never thought my passion for braiding was a God given talent that he wanted Me to share.
I encourage little girls like I once was, to believe in their dreams. Pursue whatever it is You want to become.
Stay true to you will evolve into a powerful woman and doors will open for you that NO ONE can close.
Because some one believed in me at such a young age it allow me to pursue my dream and master my gift. Braids by Tasha became a reality out of my dream.
